Matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) gene variants rs243865 and rs2285053 do not significantly impact breast cancer (BC) risk. These MMP-2 genotypes show a minimal effect on individual susceptibility to BC or triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
