The Effect of Ascorbic Acid on Hepatic Ischaemia-Reperfusion Injury in Wistar Rats: An Experimental Study

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) given before and during liver ischaemia-reperfusion (IR) injury in rats reduced liver damage. This timing of vitamin C administration improved liver enzymes, inflammation, and blood flow, suggesting a protective effect against IR injury.
