- The GG genotype at rs1800896, combined with smoking, significantly increased PCa risk (OR = 3.90).
- The rs1800896 AG and GG genotypes were associated with late-stage PCa (OR = 1.90 and 6.42, respectively).
Conclusions:
- The IL-10 promoter SNP A-1082G (rs1800896) may be a risk factor for PCa in smokers and patients with late-stage disease.
- Further validation in larger, diverse populations is recommended.
