Background:

Winged ribs, characterized by excessive anterior thoracic projection, present aesthetic concerns.
Percutaneous chondral management offers a potential solution for addressing these thoracic deformities.

Purpose of the Study:

To describe and evaluate the FrontXribs technique for aesthetic correction of winged ribs.
To assess the efficacy and safety of percutaneous chondral management for thoracic contouring.

Main Methods:

A cohort of 32 female patients underwent the FrontXribs procedure.
Preoperative and 6-month postoperative measurements included angular and length assessments of thoracic projection and pulmonary function tests.

Main Results:

The FrontXribs technique demonstrated significant reduction in anterior chest length (9.66 cm decrease) and altered thoracic angles.
Operative time averaged 51.1 minutes under general anesthesia.
No significant adverse effects on pulmonary function were noted postoperatively.

Conclusions:

The FrontXribs technique is effective in reducing anterior costal protrusion for aesthetic enhancement.
Percutaneous chondral management for winged ribs is safe, with no observed negative impact on respiratory function.
