Minimally invasive ultrasound-guided rib remodeling (RibXcar) effectively reduced waist circumference by 11cm in 3805 female patients. Complications were rare and resolved without lasting effects, with high patient satisfaction reported.

Background:

  • Minimally invasive ultrasound-guided rib remodeling using percutaneous punctures (RibXcar) is a novel technique for thoracic contour modification and waist circumference reduction.
  • This study evaluates the long-term outcomes of RibXcar, focusing on waist reduction, complication rates, and patient satisfaction.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess waist circumference changes one year after RibXcar surgery.
  • To document the incidence of complications associated with the procedure.
