Low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) effectively reduces auditory verbal hallucinations in schizophrenia by altering brain connectivity. Specifically, it modulates inhibitory pathways to the left temporoparietal junction, offering a neurobiological basis for treatment.
