Background:

• Varicocele (VC) is a leading reversible cause of male infertility.
• Varicocelectomy is a common treatment, but optimal postoperative timing for sperm quality improvement remains unclear.

Purpose of the Study:

• To determine the ideal waiting period after varicocelectomy for significant improvement in sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI).
• To identify the optimal time for conception following varicocelectomy based on DFI.
• To synthesize existing evidence through a meta-analysis.

Main Methods:

• A meta-analysis of published studies was conducted using major scientific databases (PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Library).
• Data from four included studies were pooled to calculate the mean difference (MD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) for DFI changes.
