A new technique, intraprocedural CT-guided Navigation with Ventilatory strategy for Atelectasis (inCTNVA-ENB), reduces CT-body divergence. This improves electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy accuracy for diagnosing peripheral lung lesions.
Area of Science:
- Medical imaging
- Pulmonology
- Interventional pulmonology
Background:
- CT-body divergence, a discrepancy between imaging and patient anatomy, limits the accuracy of electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy (ENB) for peripheral lung lesions.
- Effective methods to eliminate CT-body divergence are needed to enhance ENB diagnostic capabilities.
