Urine Contamination Prevalence Using a Midstream Collection Device Compared with Clean Voided Collections in Dogs

A midstream urine collection device (MCD) showed no advantage over standard clean-caught (SCC) methods for reducing bacterial contamination in dogs. Both methods were less reliable than cystocentesis (CYS) for obtaining uncontaminated urine samples.
