Antibacterial Efficacy of Rotary and Reciprocating Instrumentation Techniques

Rotary (ProTaper Next) and reciprocating (Wave One Gold) root canal treatments effectively reduced bacteria in teeth with apical periodontitis. However, neither technique completely eradicated all bacteria in this single-visit study.

- Complete bacterial eradication was not achieved with either technique in this study.
- Further research may explore adjunctive disinfection protocols.
