Summary

Background:

Penile strangulation is a rare condition requiring urgent intervention.
Constriction at the penile base can lead to severe complications if not promptly managed.

Observation:

Two cases of penile strangulation due to a bottleneck at the penile base are presented.
Case 1 involved a plastic bottleneck, managed with corporal aspiration and a rotating saw.
Case 2 utilized a ring cutter to extricate the bottleneck without further injury.

Findings:

Corporal aspiration reduced trapped blood, facilitating incision with a rotating saw in the first case.
The combined approach in Case 1 was novel, with no prior reports of simultaneous use.
A ring cutter proved effective in Case 2, preventing additional lacerations.

Implications:

These case reports introduce innovative and effective methods for managing penile strangulation.
Corporal aspiration combined with a rotating saw offers a unique solution for complex constrictions.
Ring cutters provide a safe and efficient alternative for bottleneck removal.
