Abstract:
This study introduces a novel approach of precisely depositing In2O3 nanoislands on the edges of BN sheets using selective atomic layer deposition. The modified catalysts demonstrated a significant improvement and characterization results revealed that the presence of In2O3 nanoislands, when free of BO overlayers, is crucial in mitigating side reactions.

Metals like palladium, platinum, and nickel are commonly used in their solid forms — fine powder on an inert surface. As these catalysts remain insoluble in the reaction mixture, they are referred to as heterogeneous catalysts.
