Abstract:
Responding as closely as possible to current healthcare needs and challenges calls for a constant readjustment of treatment and, consequently, of care models. Now recognized as a university discipline, nursing sciences (IS) are helping to establish nursing research as a key factor in the development and recognition of these professionals. This article explores the birth, evolution and current status of IS.
