Abstract:
A major public health issue in France, coronary artery disease requires care that involves support at every stage of its progression. Working in intensive care, conventional cardiology, and post-hospitalization units at a public hospital in Seine-Saint-Denis, four healthcare professionals-three registered nurses (RNs) and one advanced practice nurse (APN)-describe the demanding nature of their work in the cardiology department. Technical, interpersonal, and educational, their roles are multifaceted, enriched, and complemented by close collaboration with the APN, among other factors.
