Does intubation while observing the glottis with a fiberoptic scope reduce postoperative sore throat?

Observing the tip of the nasotracheal tube with a fiberoptic scope during oral surgery did not significantly reduce postoperative sore throat or hoarseness. This technique showed no difference in patient recovery compared to traditional methods.
