A dog experienced severe bleeding due to hyperfibrinolysis, a condition linked to Strongyloides stercoralis infection. Treatment with ivermectin resolved the bleeding, highlighting this parasite as a potential cause of hyperfibrinolysis in dogs.

- Strongyloidiasis should be considered an uncommon cause of acquired hyperfibrinolysis in dogs, especially when typical causes are ruled out.
