[Listeria meningoencephalitis with pulmonary infection: a case report]
Abstract:
This paper reported the diagnostic and therapeutic experience in a case of Listeria monocytogenes sepsis and meningitis combined with pulmonary infection. In this case, the patient presented acutely and was in critical condition. Listeria monocytogenes sepsis was diagnosed by blood culture and meningitis was confirmed by cerebrospinal fluid culture combined with next-generation sequencing (mNGS). The patient had bilateral pleural effusions and progressed to pneumonia. With the use of antibiotics, external ventricular drainage and ventricular peritoneal drainage, the patient gradually improved and was eventually discharged with a mild seizure.
