    Background:

    • Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder.
    • Elevated ammonia levels have been implicated in hepatic encephalopathy and may play a role in neurological conditions.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate postprandial blood ammonia levels in Alzheimer's disease patients.
    • To explore the relationship between ammonia levels, EEG findings, and AD.

    • Comparison of fasting and postprandial blood ammonia levels between 22 Alzheimer's disease patients and 37 control subjects.
