Photocatalytic reductive coupling of furfural into deoxyfuroin on mesoporous TiO2

Abstract:
The two-step photocatalytic transformation of furfural into deoxyfuroin was achieved via the initial homocoupling of furfural into furoin over mesoporous TiO2, followed by photocatalytic transfer hydrogenolysis of C-OH of furoin over the Cu/TiO2 hybrid system.
