Low Utility of Routine Thyroid Function Testing for Bowel Symptoms: A Population-Based Assessment.

Thyroid dysfunction is not a significant predictor of constipation or diarrhea. However, higher free T4 levels may protect against constipation, and hyperthyroidism is linked to fecal incontinence.
