Deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flaps offer a reliable solution for sacral defect reconstruction, demonstrating low donor-site morbidity. These findings suggest DIEP flaps may be superior to traditional vertical rectus abdominis myocutaneous (VRAM) flaps.
