Rasch Analysis of the Dermatology Life Quality Index

Background:

• Previous validation of the Dermatology-Life-Quality-Index (DLQI) in Colombia using classical test theory (CTT) suggested limitations.

Conclusions:

• Rasch analysis indicated that the DLQI-COL is not a suitable instrument for assessing quality of life in the studied Colombian dermatologic population.
• A revised version of the DLQI, with improved cross-cultural adaptation and validation, is necessary for reliable quality of life measurement in Colombian patients.
