Abstract:
In 2024, respiratory infectious diseases continue to pose a pressing challenge to global public health, mainly due to antibiotic resistance, disease complexity, and widespread transmission, all of which will increase the global disease burden. In addition, the updated bacterial priority pathogens list and the resurgence of certain pathogens have added new layers of complexity to the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory infectious diseases Over the past year, significant progress has been achieved, particularly in rapid diagnostic technologies, the development of innovative anti-infective drugs, and the advancement of vaccines. This article provides an overview of the most important research advances in the field of respiratory infectious diseases.
