    Summary

    The c-mos proto-oncogene, previously undetected in normal tissues, is now found expressed at low levels in mouse embryos, testes, and ovaries. This discovery suggests a novel regulatory mechanism for proto-oncogene expression.

    Background:

    • Proto-oncogenes are crucial for normal cellular function.
    • The c-mos gene, a proto-oncogene, had not been detected in normal tissues.

    Purpose of the Study:
