Bioinspired Long-Acting Mucoadhesive Gastric Patch for Levothyroxine Delivery

A novel bioinspired mucoadhesive gastric patch enables long-acting oral delivery of levothyroxine sodium (LT). This drug delivery system maintained therapeutic LT levels for 38 days in rats with no significant inflammatory response.
