Shape analysis of evoked action potentials recorded on the splenic nerve
Abstract:
Stimulation of the splenic nerve represents a new way of treatment for inflammatory diseases and in particular rheumatoid arthritis. The implementation of this treatment requires studies on the functioning of the nerve and its response to stimulation in order to find the most suitable parameters allowing appropriate biological feedback while maintaining the condition of the nerve and optimizing the energy of the stimulation with a view to maximizing the lifespan of the future implantable device. In this study, we searched how to analyze the evoked nervous response to characterize the influence of different stimulation parameters (amplitude, pause time, frequency). In this paper, we propose and compare three methods of shape analysis.
