Traumatic rupture of splenosis

We believe this report represents the first of traumatic hemorrhage from splenosis which necessitated operation. We discuss previous reports of complications as a result of splenosis. With the increased interest in autotransplantation of splenic remnants following splenectomy, we expect that this complication may be reported with increasing frequency.
