Abstract:
We present an electrocardiogram of atrial flutter with atypical, paradoxical QRS alternation, and describe the possible mechanisms as well as the further studies needed to define the most likely cause. The electrophysiological considerations are important for differentiating between functional and organic conduction blocks in identifying the correct pacemaker indication.
