Wearing a surgical mask during chemotherapy session is safe

Wearing surgical masks (SM) during chemotherapy may cause slight CO2 retention and a tendency to hypoxemia. However, these changes are clinically insignificant, showing SM are safe for cancer patients undergoing treatment.
