    • Mind-body interventions emerged as particularly effective, demonstrating benefits when they were accessible, portable, brief, and adaptable to the clinical setting.
    • Evidence suggests that well-designed interventions can positively impact compassion fatigue levels in this high-risk nursing group.

    Conclusions:

    • The review identified limitations including small sample sizes, single-site studies, and varied study designs and outcome measures, which hindered strong conclusions.
    • Heterogeneity across studies complicated direct comparisons and synthesis of intervention effectiveness.
    • Future research should prioritize rigorous study designs, larger sample sizes, and diverse settings to enhance the generalizability of findings on compassion fatigue interventions for ICU nurses.
