Abstract:
Sperm cryopreservation is an excellent way to store genetic materials for a long period. Semen cryopreservation is associated with structural and functional damage of the spermatozoa caused by cold shock, osmotic stress, intracellular ice crystal formation, and the production of reactive oxygen species, which reduce their functional lifespan and fertilization capacity. Here, we describe the main rabbit sperm cryopreservation protocol.
