Abstract:
Inflammatory myopathies remain rare cases, and the diagnosis is frequently delayed. Accurate diagnosis is important to ensure correct management. Rehabilitation is a major pillar of the treatment of dermatomyositis which is little described in the literature, unlike drug treatment which is well known. Faced with the limited literature available, caregivers and patients are wondering about rehabilitation treatment and the potential for recovery. Indeed, the whole challenge is to restore function and autonomy in daily life and, if possible, the capacity to work. The objective of this article is to provide some recommendations for rehabilitation treatment based on the situations that we encountered in our rehabilitation department.
