Tunable CW and 222 fs mode-locking laser performances of Nd:LYMO crystal
Abstract:
The exploration of laser performance for novel laser crystals with superior optical properties is crucial for advancements in laser technology. In this paper, the performances of tunable continuous wave (CW) and mode-locking pulses based on novel Nd:LYMO crystal were systematically investigated for what we believe to be the first time. The CW laser achieved a maximum output power of 350 mW with a slope efficiency of 36%, and a tunable wavelength range of 38 nm was observed. For the mode-locking laser, stable pulses with a minimum width of 222 fs and a spectral FWHM of 5.56 nm were obtained. The signal-to-noise ratio of the RF spectrum reached up to ∼85 dB, indicating high stability of the mode-locking pulses. The results illustrate the excellent properties of Nd:LYMO crystal in the field of tunable and ultrafast lasers.
