Arthroscopic Fixation of Pediatric Intra-articular Glenoid Fracture: A Case Report

Case:
We present a case of an intra-articular transverse glenoid fracture in an 11-year-old boy who fell while doing a handstand. An arthroscopic shoulder approach was used to reduce and fixate the fracture with 2 knotless anchors and a headless compression screw. The patient achieved full range of motion within 6 weeks and resumed sports activities at 2 months after the procedure.
Conclusion:
Fracture-dislocation of the glenoid fossa is an uncommon injury that can be effectively treated by arthroscopic fixation. To our knowledge, there are no reported cases of arthroscopic fixation of a glenoid fracture of a pediatric patient.
