Amelanotic blue nevi are a subtype of blue nevi that are exceptionally rare in pediatric patients. Because the differential diagnosis includes melanoma, these lesions can pose significant diagnostic and management challenges. Awareness of the clinical and histological features, including the expected immunohistochemical profile, is critical in distinguishing these benign lesions from other amelanotic lesions with a more nefarious prognosis. This case report describes a rare presentation of an amelanotic blue nevus in a pediatric patient.
