Summary
Robotic surgery did not reduce the need for assistants in Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RYGB) but decreased assistant use in Sleeve Gastrectomy (SG). Mid-level assistants were most common in both robotic and laparoscopic bariatric procedures.
