Respiratory compensation is a vital physiological process that stabilizes blood plasma pH by regulating the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PCO2), a key determinant of pH levels. Summary

Academic rhinologists perceive salaried compensation models as ideal for work-life balance, but collections-based models may offer better support for practice and academic duties. Findings suggest a need for flexible compensation structures in academic otolaryngology.
