A rapid method for renal vascular perfusion for light and transmission electron microscopy of chicken kidney
Avian Diseases

Abstract:
A rapid and easily performed vascular-perfusion technique for avian kidney is described. This procedure uses 30 cm3 of fixative per adult bird, requires less than 1 minute, and results in fixation of one caudal renal division suitable for light or transmission electron microscopy. Kidneys fixed by this method were superior to those fixed by rapid immersion when compared by light and transmission electron microscopy.
