Dr. Tahan has over 30 years of experience in hospital management and operations and professional case management practice. He currently serves as the system vice president and chief nursing officer for nursing professional development, workforce management, and academic affairs for MedStar Health, Columbia, MD. Dr. Tahan is widely published with three textbooks and over 110 peer reviewed articles on case management, an editorial advisory board member of Professional Case Management , and past CCMC commissioner and commission chair. MaryBeth Kurland, MPA, CAE, ICE-CCP , is the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission for Case Manager Certification. The Commission is the first and largest nationally accredited organization that certifies more than 50,000 professional case managers and disability management specialists. With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she is also a credentialing segment leader at an association management company where she oversees the strategic direction and operational excellence of credentialing programs for several associations and organizations, including CCMC. Patricia Kelley Morgan, MS, RN, CCM, MSCC , is a Commissioner of the Commission for Case Manager Certification and chair of the CCMC task force overseeing the field research. She is also Clinical Director of Sedgwick's OH Managed Care Organization, which supports employees' safe and timely return to work in Ohio. An experienced clinical manager, she also has expertise in the workers' compensation and disability insurance industry.
