Oral leukoplakia (OL), oral lichen planus (OLP), and oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) have higher malignant transformation rates to oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) than previously thought. These findings highlight the critical need for vigilant monitoring and timely intervention for oral premalignant disorders (OPMD).
