Abstract:
In this case, the patient had an ulcer in the duodenal bulb; however, despite the intensification of acid-suppressive therapy, the ulcer instead progressively worsened. After systematically ruling out potential etiologies, the evidence ultimately pointed to a cholecystectomy performed 11 years prior. Subsequent imaging studies and surgical interventions further corroborated this finding.
