Recurrent acute angioid streak retinopathy (AASR) in a pseudoxanthoma elasticum patient involves a two-phase inflammatory process. Initial RPE/BM disruption at angioid streaks leads to inflammation, followed by secondary multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS).
