    Primary empty sella (ES) syndrome often presents with galactorrhea-dismenorrhea or obesity. CT cisternography is an effective and safe diagnostic method for empty sella.

    Background:

    • Primary empty sella (ES) is a condition where the pituitary gland is not fully developed within the sella turcica.
    • Clinical presentation can be varied, with hormonal imbalances and visual disturbances being common.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To review the clinical features and diagnostic imaging findings in patients with primary empty sella.
    • To evaluate the efficacy of CT cisternography in diagnosing ES.

    • Retrospective review of 18 patients diagnosed with primary empty sella.
    • Analysis of clinical symptoms, endocrinological test results, and imaging studies including skull radiographs, CT scans, and CT cisternography.
