    Background:

    • Accurate fabrication of complete arch implant-supported frameworks (ISF) is crucial for long-term success.
    • Digital impression techniques, including intraoral scanners (IOS) and photogrammetry (PG), are increasingly used.
    • The vertical microgap is a critical parameter influencing the fit and stability of ISF.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the vertical microgap of complete arch implant-supported frameworks (ISF).
    • To evaluate frameworks obtained from one intraoral scanner (IOS) versus two different photogrammetry (PG) systems.

    Main Methods:

    • A definitive edentulous mandibular model with four implants served as the reference.
    • Scans were acquired using an intraoral scanner (Primescan) and two photogrammetry systems (ICam, PIC).
    • Virtual bars were designed, milled from titanium, and vertical microgaps were assessed using the modified Sheffield test.

    Main Results:

    • Mean vertical microgaps varied, with the lowest in the control group (22.65±7.279 µm), followed by ICam (24.10±7.991 µm), PIC (30.52±9.809 µm), and Primescan (33.21±13.84 µm).
    • Statistically significant differences were found between the control and IOS groups (Primescan, ICam).
    • No significant difference was observed between the two photogrammetry systems; highest microgaps occurred at implant site 44.

    Conclusions:

    • Frameworks fabricated from photogrammetry (PG) digital impressions exhibited lower vertical microgaps.
    • PG systems demonstrated superior accuracy in achieving precise fits for complete arch implant-supported frameworks compared to the tested IOS.
