Vitreoretinal interface features in epiretinal membrane associated with pseudoexfoliation syndrome

Pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) with epiretinal membrane (ERM) involves excessive extracellular matrix accumulation at the vitreoretinal interface (VRI). This differs significantly from idiopathic ERM, suggesting PEX impacts VRI structure similarly to the anterior segment.
