Choroidal vascular characteristics in anisometropic amblyopia: a comparative analysis

Choroidal characteristics differ in anisometropic amblyopia, with hyperopic eyes showing wider luminal areas and myopic eyes narrower total and luminal areas. Peripapillary vessel density changes suggest this region may be affected earlier than the macula.

- Significant differences in peripapillary vessel density were observed, particularly in hyperopic amblyopia.
- These findings suggest that the peripapillary choroid may be affected earlier than the macula in the development of anisometropic amblyopia.
