Abstract:
Regulatory laboratories across the globe are tasked with verifying the authenticity of pesticide products to protect the public and to ensure that manufacturers are producing what they claim. Since there are thousands of pesticide products, the multi-analyte method (MAM) available from the Collaborative International Pesticides Analytical Council (CIPAC) simplifies the process for regulatory labs with a method that has been validated for multiple pesticides. To expand the column options for using the MAM for pesticide analysis, a 1.5 mm ID HPLC column was evaluated. Linearity, accuracy, and reproducibility were demonstrated for pesticides using this 1.5 mm ID column employing the MAM with a reduced flow rate appropriate for the column ID and a UHPLC that had been optimized for low extra-column volume.
