It is very important to achieve high contrast latent fingerprints (LFPs) imaging in the face of challenges such as imaging blur, weak anti-background interference, and third-level detail loss. We construct a series of carbazole tripyridine zinc (II) complex probes (Zn-Kt1, Zn-Kt2 and Zn-Kt3) which can specifically identify oleic acid (OA) in LFPs, thus achieving high-quality LFPs imaging performance. These complexes exhibit high brightness and long-term imaging owing to three-photon AIE properties. Thanks to the excellent multi-photon excitation fluorescence characteristics of Zn-Kt1, the three-level details of LFP can be captured for high-resolution visualization. This work aims to provide a simple optical probe for rapid identification of personal information in criminal investigation activities.
