Abstract:
The endocytosis of chiral quantum dots is the key initial step in their interaction with biological systems, and it significantly influences subsequent biological effects. In this study, we delve into the mechanism of chiral quantum dots during the process of cellular endocytosis. The results reveal that chiral quantum dots exhibit significant differences in the endocytosis process, even when their physicochemical properties are similar. Through comparative analysis, we can better understand the biological effects of chiral quantum dots and provide scientific guidance for the safety assessment of nanomaterials and their application in the field of biomedicine. Furthermore, the biological behavior of chiral quantum dots at the organism level shows a distinct chirality dependence, which provides an important theoretical basis for the application of chiral nanomaterials in biomedicine and opens up new directions for future research and application.

Protein Dynamics in Living Cells
Fluorescent recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) is a fluorescent-protein-based detection technique used to quantify protein movement rates within the cell. This method exposes a small portion of the cell to an intense laser beam. The laser beam causes permanent photobleaching of the fluorophore-tagged proteins in the exposed region. As the bleached...
