Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system activity in a female trauma-exposed sample

This study found no direct link between the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in women. However, RAAS activity correlated with cardiovascular arousal, and estradiol may offer protection against these effects.
